How To Remove UTM DATA (utm_source, utm_medium) From Feedburner URLs

If you have added your blog feed to Feedburner, you will notice that the URLs pointing to your blog/website have extra parameters which make your links longer and sometimes may cause search engines to index them instead of the correct blog/website links.

You should know that these extra parameters are added by default once you setup your Feedburner account for your blog, which help in tracking visitors that click your feed URLs. These parameters that are added to your links can be like this:

URL/utm_source=feed& (…)
URL/utm_medium=feed& (…), etc.

If you want your Feedburner links redirect to correct website / blog URLs, then follow these instructions to disable the visitor tracking feature:

1. Login to Feedburner and open your website/blog feed.

2. In the left sidebar under the Analyze tab, click Configure Stats:

3. Uncheck now this option:

Track clicks as a traffic source in Google Analytics

Click Save to confirm your action.

Your feed URLs will now redirect without extra parameters.

That’s it!
