How To Disable The Autoscroll Feature in Firefox 7


When we want to open quickly a link in a new tab in Firefox 7 or older versions, we use the mouse middle button. Sometimes, if we click softly next to a link,  the autoscrolling feature is enabled, and you will find yourself at the bottom of the page. If you find this feature annoying, you can easily disable autoscrolling by following these instructions:

1. Launch Firefox, press ALT to bring up the menu bar and head to Tools > Options:



2. Open the Advanced tab and under General, check off "Use autoscrolling", then click OK:



Now, whenever you click next to a link using your wheel scroll button, autoscrolling will never be enabled.
