If you want to insert a document into another in Word 2007/2010, then follow these instructions:
1. Launch Word 2007/2010, type any text you like, then place your mouse cursor where you want to insert your new text document.
2. At the top of the window, select Insert tab, click on the small arrow located on the right of Object button, then click Text from file.
3. In the window that appears, select the text document you want to insert, then click Insert button.
That's it. Your document contents (text, images, etc.) will now be inserted into your current document.
